I do a bit of woodworking but don't have access to the equipment that they do. I've always wanted to learn about how to use a CNC machine & laser engraver cutter. So I signed up, took a tour and a couple of their basic classes. The people here are great and they're more than willing to help you out.

The space is changing how I make things. I was going to go make something out of wood and now I'm thinking about making it out of steel, I have access to steel now! I think the makerspace is first about community second about possibility. The maker space provides a rich source of ideas of things you don't know that you can do.

It's a lot of fun to work on projects around other artists, I've always worked alone. It's really wonderful to have people who get it.

LMS is the largest and best equipped maker space I've ever seen, and I've been to/been a member of several [...] My company would not have been as far along without the help of LMS and the staff!

Cameron
Lots of experimentation across all projects! ...without that access and ability to play, I wouldn't have even started these projects.
Not a lot of people know about Lacey MakerSpace, and I really wish they did, because there is so much that you can learn here. Especially the students here at St. Martins University
